Hello to anyone who happens to stumble upon this blog! I've recently become obsessed with doing nail art, and like many others, I feel the need to blog about it. Awwwww yeah.
So, here is a little bit of background on me. When I was younger I HATED painting my nails. It was annoying, and it made my hands feel "heavy" which was irritating to me when I was trying to draw. It wasn't until a year or so ago that I became fascinated with nail polish. I loved the variety of colors and how just looking at my nails could brighten my day. Eventually I decided I wanted to learn how to do nail art, and thus, a new obsession begun.
So, here's some stuff I've done within the past couple of months:

From left to right, top to bottom:
Sparkly nails - This is just your standard base color with a TON of sparkle layered over it. I had never actually tried doing something so simple like this. I called these my Barbie nails haha
Marble nails - This is my first real foray into actual nail art, and of course, my first try at water marble nails. I was so fascinated with how it worked; I had to try it out!
Pseudo Moon manicure - I say "pseudo" because I did this in a way opposite to how you would normally do a moon manicure. I painted the pink before the gold instead of vice versa. Eitherway, I love these colors together, and it's such a simple classy design.
Variety nails - So, my absolute favorite musician EVER is Shiina Ringo, and she is basically a HUGE inspiration for me. Even before I started doing nail art, I've wanted to try various designs as a tribute to her and her band Tokyo Jihen. So, this design is inspired by the album artwork for Tokyo Jihen's album "Variety." I was so happy with the results that I kept this design for two weeks instead of my usual one.
Galaxy nails - Next up, I had to take a shot at the oh-so-popular galaxy nails because youtuber
cutepolish made it look sooooo easy! It was pretty time-consuming, but it was so fun to do that I didn't mind.
Marble nails - This was my second try at water marble, and needless to say, it turned out much better.
Pon Pon Pon/cute eye ball nails - If you're familiar with Japanese pop music, you might have seen the eccentric video for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's "
Pon Pon Pon." The colors and patterns are so inspiring, but I was particularly drawn to her eyeball patterned bloomers. So I decided to do some nail art inspired by it!
Lightning Bolt Manicure - I was actually looking for a tutorial on how to do v-gap nails when I stumbled upon the nail art/nail polish blog
Nailside. I loved her different taped manicure designs especially the lightning bolt; so, I gave it a shot!
That's it for now I guess! I'll most likely be making posts weekly since I tend to change my nails every Friday or Saturday. I'll also make posts when I get any new nail polish!
Please enjoy! Thank you : )
